This little lovely is called Sadie. She was just 19 days old when her mum and dad brought her into the studio for her photo shoot.
Sadie needed a little time to settle into a deep sleep, but once she was there she was a dream to photograph.
I love taking those close up, detailed images of tiny fingers and toes on babies, it really puts into perspective how tiny they are.
A newborn baby photo shoot can take up to 3-4 hours, it all depends on how easily the baby settles into a deep sleep so you can really get those curled up sleepy poses. Here is just a small selection of the photos I took on the day with Sadie, but the session time allows us to try different coloured blankets and wraps. I also like to use different hats and headbands.
