A Mother’s Dream #2. Week 29
Pumpkin Picking!
So we seem to have made a family tradition on our house. Ok, so it’s only the second year we have done this, but it is set to continue!
We went Pumpkin picking in Leyland near the Tank. If you know Leyland, you know where The Tank is!
Is was hugely busy with lots of families spending some quality time finding the perfect pumpkin to join their family (even if it is only for a short time before being carved open, eaten and then ceremoniously thrown in the bin! 😉 ) Or whatever else you choose to do with your pumpkin, it seems it is a big decision.
So it actually quite hard to find the ‘perfect pumpkin’ Some are just way too big, even if you manage to carry it to the car, where on earth are you going to put it? By the front door? I think it will act more like a ballard to keep those pesky Trick or Treaters away (unless they actually stand on it to reach the bell!). Some people went for one big one and some went for a few small ones. Whatever is your choice, they had them here.
Ellis saw the perfect pumpkin, then turned around and lost sight of ‘his’ pumpkin! Have you ever tried to convince an overly tired, emotional 4 year old in a field full of pumpkins that it actually doesn’t matter and to just choose another one? I asked Ellis a few times “What did it look like?” and he replied, “Orange and round”!!!
Anyway, we found his pumpkin again (was totally not the same one!) however, he was happy with it and luckily for Daddy, not too big to carry!
So off we went to the car with a little voice from Ellis, “Or was it that one”!
Here is the link to pick your own pumpkin.
Ellis is almost camouflaged looking for ‘The One”!
Found it!
