We had just had an amazing week of warm sunny weather so we though we would go out on Saturday morning to enjoy it even more when Daddy was off work…it rained! Well, only a little and the sun did eventually make an appearance, so it wasn’t too bad!
I wanted Ellis to get in amongst the Autumn leaves and have a run around. It was the beginning of October, so I am sure there will be even more leaves in a few weeks We don’t really go over to Southport very often and didn’t realise these gardens existed. Well, it was quite a pleasant surprise and I have to say the cafe was even more of a surprise! It was quite random to say the least! The table and chairs were sounded by goodies to purchase. It seemed like you name it, and it was in there for sale! It ranged from clocks, puzzle books, gardening tools to packets of biscuits!
There was quite a lot to see and do in the Gardens. It had crazy golf, and swings for kids, lots of paths to walk along and good few benches to have a rest. there is a very interesting mural. I say interesting – it was a bit odd! I’m sure there is some history behind the freakish painting.
We all enjoyed our outing to the Botanic Gardens and if you fancy it too, here’s the link.
