A Mother’s Dream #2. Week 25
At the end of the summer holidays and just before the dread of starting school, we visited Guernsey. The sun shone and we were able to visit beaches, (in search of more shells!) eat ice creams and love the great outdoors. We stayed with family and Ellis and Quinn had the chance to spend the week with their Nanny, Grandad, Uncle and cousins.
In the week of sunshine, we had one wet day. So we visited Guernsey Candles.
The kids really enjoyed it and Ellis absolutely loved seeing the colours change before his eyes. He was fascinated to see the colours of the wax mix and therefore change colour. Ellis and Quinn were well and truly looked after by the team there and given great patience to give it a go.
If you think Quinn looks tired, you’d be right. I think the thought of staying with her cousins for a week was just too exciting for her. When she woke in the morning (usually before 6am) she wanted to go in the search of anyone who was awake. She had to settle for me (who was not awake!) until it was time to get Nanny and Grandad up to eat them out of house and home!
There is a lovely gift shop at the Guernsey Candle workshop, you can definitely pick up some nice gifts there. Here is the link for more info on how you can make your own trip to Guernsey Candles. You can also check out the Facebook Page here.
